After months and even years of waiting, the time is here at last. You’ve downloaded the game, poured a glass of your favorite frosty beverage, and logged in for the very first time. Or maybe it’s an MMO that’s been out for a while and you’ve only now gotten around to trying it.

In any case, what do you do next?

What objectives do you have for the first hour of a new game? Do you spend most of it in the character creator? Try to populate your friends list? Find a guild? Explore the UI and customize your HUD? Take those initial screenshots for posterity? Blitz through newbie quests and scoff at tutorial prompts? Or something else entirely?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
