World of Warcraft and WoW Classic welcome Winter Veil ’23

After a long year, it’s time to tuck into a good feast. World of Warcraft’s many versions offer a sumptuous spread with the Feast of Winter Veil, which is now active in the MMO through January 2nd.

During the celebration, players can take a magical sleigh ride, go on a quest with a tiny bird named Pepe, tackle that Abominable Greench, and grab presents on the 25th from underneath the trees in the major cities. WoW Classic offers the older versions of the holiday with legacy quests and gifts.

New for 2023 (in retail) are reindeer costumes for your dragon mount, a trans-dimensional bird whistle, world bosses with special loot, and… socks! Probably shouldn’t have ended with the socks, but they do leave a snowy trail, so that’s still better than the six-pack you were going to pick up at Target this week.
