Fishing absolutely mystifies me. Oh, in real life, I get it: It’s a way to be completely lazy, drink beer, and still catch your dinner. But in a video games where you’re often go-go-go, fishing demands you stop and stare at a little bobber for a while so that you can haul a slimy fish into your inventory.
But it’s not like every fishing system is the same, both in mechanics and rewards. I actually had a pretty OK time with Palia’s fishing, as there was a little bit of skill and always the chance to pull up a housing item.
