Curious what’s next for Gielinor? Then let the developers of RuneScape stare into the near horizon and share what they see for the MMORPG’s next three months’ worth of content. Whether they’re doing so at the edge of a windblown seaside cliff with a wistful look in their eyes or not is up to your headcanon. But I bet you’re envisioning that now, aren’t you?

The announcement provides a general rundown of update plans for April through June, starting first with a new quest in the latter half of this month that promises returning faces and “an unlikely encounter and an emerging threat that looms over mysterious ruins.”

The month of May will bring another community hitlist and environment update that improves the visuals of Rellekka and applies some accessibility improvements, and June introduces a new summer event. In the meantime, this week’s patch is mostly about fixes and adjustments that affect the Easter event, combat, specific dungeons, and the Kandarin region.

Meanwhile in Old School RuneScape, Jagex is continuing to tweak the newly opened Varlamore area with changes that specifically focus on the Colosseum’s enemies, NPCs, and rewards, as well as several boss updates in the Perilous Moons dungeon. There’s also a suite of other general updates to the game and a rundown of drop chances for Varlamore activities that players may want to look over.
