The celebratory notes are sounding loud and clear for the late, great, and still present City of Heroes as the MMO marks the 20th year since its launch way back in April 2004 (along with its rebirth a few years ago).
And speaking of that, rogue server City of Heroes Rebirth is joining in the festivities with a trailer for its next issue, The Coming Storm. This issue is dated for the fall, with more information to come soon.
“Today we celebrate a momentous occasion as City of Heroes turns 20,” the team said. “In typical fashion, the Rebirth Team honors the legacy of Cryptic and Paragon Studios with an overview of the history of the game, our continued efforts, and a preview of the future. We have spent the last five years building upon the bedrock established by a decade of work from the original teams in all of their iterations… and it has all led to this.”
City of Heroes Rebirth claims almost 25,000 registered accounts so far.
