Sales happen on Steam all of the time, but in the case of the indie sandbox MMORPG darling Project: Gorgon, we’re talking a wholesale price decrease instead of a limited-time one, as Elder Game is now selling the game for $20.
“The wildly immersive and critically acclaimed MMORPG, Project: Gorgon, is now available on Steam for the unbeatable price of $19.99! Dive into a world of unparalleled depth, vibrant communities, and limitless exploration opportunities, all at an accessible new price point.”
On top of the new price point for the MMORPG, players can buy an additional bundle of three extra character slots, also at a price of $20, so that players can explore new character builds if they so choose. The DLC is a one-time purchase, meaning maximum slots will always be four for the time being, though players who purchased the MMORPG before now will be handed those three slots for free, and those who are subscribers to the game will also receive the extra slots.
For those who have been following along with Gorgon’s history, this change may not be news: Elder Game has been talking about this price reduction for a while following last year’s financial struggles and player donations; the game took MOP’s Indie MMORPG of the Year award in 2023.
