Oh look, quick development.

Giving up on things is usually presented as a direct negative, and for understandable reasons. We don’t like to think of giving up on our goals. But sometimes when it comes to MMOs we realize that, for example, we’re spending hours of our time to accomplish something we don’t actually care about for no actual benefit. So it’s better to give up! It’s actually a good opportunity to re-orient yourself and focus on things that matter to you more!

But that’s not the only reason people can give up on their MMO goals. Sometimes things are just going to take too long to be worth it. Sometimes you still want the end reward but you find the process of getting there miserable. Heck, maybe you’ve been working toward slowly getting a piece of gear only to find that it’s going to be obsolete so seen it’s not even worth bothering. So when do you give up on your MMO goals?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
