The very tippy top of the organizational structure at Black Desert and EVE Online company Pearl Abyss America is changing: Jeonghee “JJ” Jin, who has led Pearl Abyss’ American office for six years as its CEO, has announced that she has stepped down in order to “to take on a new career challenge.”

“In February 2018, I started by myself in Irvine in a tiny co-sharing office as the first US employee for Pearl Abyss. I set up an office in Manhattan Beach later and officially established Pearl Abyss America in August same year,” she recalls. “I’ve been getting many congrats on my 6th anniversary as the Pearl Abyss America CEO all this week. Feeling weird and awkward to say I’m leaving this place right after getting so many congrats.”

In terms of what JJ’s next step will be, she promises to share details later after she takes her first “real vacation in a long time.” She otherwise thanked the employees she’s worked with for the memories and their effort. A replacement for Jin was not named in her post.
