Pantheon Rise of the Fallen adds its Halnir Cave dungeon and reintroduces its death penalty

The seasonal testing rumbles forth within Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen, so it’s going to come as no surprise that the August newsletter from the sandbox MMORPG is mostly about the latest build updates on that front while also continuing to try to drive excitement for December’s early access.

The post provides a couple of looks from within the recently added Halnir Cave dungeon, which promises “new foes, distinct challenges, and a wider level range of content.” According to Visionary Realms, only a handful of player groups have managed to get beyond the opening of the caves, so it warns any potential new arrivals to brace themselves.

That suggestion to prepare should not be taken lightly, as the latest build has also reintroduced the game’s death penalty while also making it harder to earn XP. The most recent patch notes also highlight several class adjustments, updated item drop rates, the addition of salvaging, and some other general tuning.
