There’s an interesting, if lesser known, feature in Lord of the Rings Online that allows players to filter out unwanted sounds from the game. It’s a godsend to those who find certain screams or noises grating. And don’t most games have sounds that fall into that category for us too? I know I grit my teeth when I hear error noises again and again, mocking my inept gameplay.

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
