Back in August, we covered a new-to-us pixel art MMO called Necesse. The game, which allows servers of hundreds of people, had been in early access already a whopping five years, but the advent of a huge graphics upgrade patch had brought the game into the limelight. By September, the game counted over a million players had bought into the early access, though of course its peak concurrency isn’t quite so high.
Now, the Japanese game is getting another big patch – literally today. As I type this, we don’t have patch notes for this 0.28 release, but we do have a preview video that appears to be teasing the new adventure journal, new upgradeable workstations, new recipes, and tungsten weapons.
We still don’t have a solid date for the 1.0 release of the game, note. The Steam page still says that “the v1.0 release will have more polish, better modding support, improved optimization, more difficulty options, refined balance, more advanced settlements, additional bosses, new locations, more monsters, and much more.”
