Holiday something.

It’s been a long time since Runes of Magic first arrived on the MMORPG scene – 15 years, in fact – and it has also been quite a while since the game’s product manager has talked to fans. But that has changed now, thanks to a lengthy forum post detailing the various changes that the game has undergone since February as well as looking ahead to both the rest of this month and the start of 2025. And there are changes on the way! We didn’t bring up the game’s advanced age at random, as the post makes it clear that one of Gameforge’s goals for the very end of this year is to revamp the starting experience to let people level faster.

Fortunately for fans who love the current leveling experience, there will be a choice rather than something forcing you into the new leveling speed. This update also comes along with a number of class balance changes, which the team is eager to hear feedback on to see what’s working and what isn’t.

Meanwhile, 2025 already has a third Timeless Instance on deck, potential high-level Mirror Worlds, more tweaks to leveling, and some other content ideas that aren’t yet ready to be shared. In other words, there’s a lot of gas left in the tank even after 15 years.
