October was a month full of very random MMO, MMORPG, and multiplayer games during the Steam Next Fest happening that month, but we became low-key obsessed with one extremely oddball entry: Spire Horizon Online, an indie MMORPG from developer Mendoka that has players taking up the role of a skeleton to travel across dimensions to find their capybara friend. We even took a look at it on OPTV to see what that month’s demo was all about.
Well, we’ve moved on from demo to full launch it seems: Spire Horizon Online has officially released, promising 25 different classes, over 150 different monsters, plenty of quests and dungeons, and the ability to customize class skills to craft a unique skeletal hero.
The game itself costs $4 on Steam, but it’s also offering The Grand Catch DLC that adds automated XP and item earning via fishing for $10, just in case someone out there wants to spend over double the MMO’s asking price for an automatic grinding feature. The game, the DLC, and a bundle that packs in both are on sale at 15% off until December 13th.
Unfortunately, we must warn you that reviews are pretty rough right now, and uptake for the game doesn’t seem high, as players complain about paid assets and mobile ports.
