Merry Shipmas, everyone! No, this holiday isn’t a celebration of your ability to make two licensed characters smooch each other; it’s the seasonal event happening this week in the console and mobile title World of Warships: Legends, which features a variety of unique Christmastime goodies for players to go after over the next several weeks.
The holiday season will take players into a cyberpunk-styled future version of New York City circa 2125, which features a four-week event calendar full of missions can unlock a free cyberpunk-styled commander guise from now until January 27th. There will also be an Arctic Convoy mission running between January 6th and 27th that grants free winter lockboxes from last year and camouflages.
Another big feature for Shipmas is a new campaign that challenges players to grind their way to the new British cruiser Defence. Players have between now and January 27th to work their way through 100 levels of campaign progression to unlock the new ship along with boxes, materials, and currencies.
Finally, WoWS is handing out some freebies in the form of a New Year’s gift that can hand over goodies like more free lockboxes, currencies, and a premium ship, as well as a free DLC that awards a new ship for WoWS and a new tank for console game World of Tanks: Modern Armor.
