If they’re playing their cards right, then yes, you’ve met a famous person in an MMO, and you’ll never know it because they’re enjoying some precious anonymity in an online space just like everyone else. So today’s Daily Grind is more specifically about meeting a famous person in an MMO and actually knowing who it is, either in the moment or after the fact.
For example, we all know that lots of famous actors, from Vin Diesel and Mila Kunis to Kristian Nairn and Jaimie Lee Curtis, dabble in MMOs. But of course, “fame” means lots of things; even your favorite mega-streamer or developer sinks time into gaming, and finding out you’re in a guild with someone people know widely outside of the virtual world is a nice perk of online games!
