Hey look at that: Dune Awakening is coming out next month! That’s going to be quite the event, whether Funcom’s sci-fi MMO explodes onto the scene or wheezes to the starting line. While we all wait for that, at least we can tune into the game’s radio station and listen to the first part of a radio play called “Five Days at Carthag.”
Funcom previously said that its in-game radio station will offer music from classic Dune games as well as dramas to enjoy while you’re base building or exploring.
“The in-game radio does not only offer entertainment, but also a deeper understanding of living on Arrakis,” the studio wrote. “This is the first episode of Five Days at Carthag, a radio theatre and an Arrakeen Playhouse production. Tune in to the rest of the story when playing Dune Awakening and discover the official truth of what happened to the Harkonnen stronghold of Carthag.”
