Monster Hunter Now will let players slap creatures with pastel balloon weaponry in its April 14 Easter event

Generally speaking, using a sword made out of colorful balloons is not what one would call lethal. But what if that balloon sword were comically large and also applied video game rules? Then you have what’s being offered in the Easter-themed event that’s coming to Monster Hunter Now starting on Monday, April 14th.

The event will feature hunts against Ebony Odogaron, an Easter egg-carrying Kulu-Ya-Ku, and a Lagombi (a bunny bear, get it?), all of which will have increased appearance rates through the event. Slaying these monsters will award spring eggs or a possible rainbow egg, both of which can be used to purchase gear refining items, monster parts, and seasonal weapon upgrade tickets, all of which can be used to forge a bunny head helmet item, the Balloon Blade great sword, and the Egg Strongarm charge blade.

In addition to the featured monster hunts, April 18th will also see hunt-a-thons spawn giant eggs that can be broken for even more egg currencies. Both the eggs and the event hunts will additionally be featured in event quests for players to take on. The whole thing runs until April 27th, so if you’re eager to wield balloon weapons, your time is coming.
