Star Trek Online celebrates Christmas with giant nerf guns

No matter what the stardate, it’s Christmas season for Star Trek fans, and that means a few things. For starters, it’s time to dig out classic tunes like “Make It So” and “Wonderful Deep Space Nine,” playing them on repeat until you’re sick of them for another year. Then down some Klingon eggnog and head into Star Trek Online for the return of Q’s Winter Wonderland.

While all of the activities are carried over from years’ previous, Star Trek Online does have a few new rewards for players to chase. There are ski outfits, a black nanopulse Mek’leth, a T6 Breen Plesh Tral heavy raider, and some giant nerf gun. Really. We wish we were joking about that last one. Actually we don’t wish that, because nerf guns are cool and really should be in more games.

Star Trek Online also has a free Kramp’lhri pet during the event for anyone to take home, and fleets can take part in a new project to display a Breen ship ornament for the delight of all.
