Years and years.

Right before the folks at Star Trek Online took their holiday break, there was time to speak with the Priority One podcast about how the game handled developing content in 2019 and some ideas on what players can expect going in to 2020.

The interview segments feature content designer John Hegner, lead producer Jarrod Fisher, executive producer Andre Emerson, and community manager Mike Fatum. The devs discuss the challenges with creating content in tandem to the premiere of Star Trek Discovery episodes, a look back at STO’s 2019, discussion about changes and their impact to the game, and a couple of vague teases for 2020 including promise that the game is working on something that players should be excited for and promise of something special for the upcoming 10th anniversary. Unfortunately, details were rather scant due to fear of spoiling things.

You can check out the full podcast on the site or get to the STO developer stuff with the handy media players on the game’s website. You can also get some more with the devs in yesterdays Ten Forward Weekly, which is summarized on Reddit.
