Now that Wastelanders has reshaped the face of Fallout 76, it’s important for Bethesda to keep this rare positive momentum going. So what about a 2020 roadmap? Yeah, that might help get the job done.
In today’s roadmap, Bethsoft outlined what is coming for the post-apocalyptic online game over the next three quarters. A public teaming system and legendary perks are on tap for summer, rebalanced combat and scaling rewards should come this fall, and by the winter players will be engaging in a new Brotherhood of Steel storyline while going on repeatable expeditions.
But by far the biggest announcement here is the debut of a seasonal system for Fallout 76. Starting in the summer with season one, this system will encourage players to accomplish various goals in order to work their way up a 100-level reward track that includes all sorts of cosmetics, home decorations, currency, and consumables. Summer’s Season One will be free for everyone, although presumably there will be a cost to buy into future seasons.
