The latest newsletter from Shroud of the Avatar has a lot of ground to cover this time around in terms of content being added or soon to be added. On the “added” front is the Lord British’s castle adventure, which readers will recall was first opened to Episode 2 early access buyers this past July. Now, Lord British’s castle and its coffers are available for everyone to defend.

In addition, the game’s food and drink system is set to received an overhaul, assigning all food and drink items a slot value of one to three, which indicates how many buff slots these items take up from a total of six slots that can be filled, letting players stack multiple food buffs as their situation demands. In addition, there are new pet foods that players can craft including Fishy Nibblers and Dragon Kibbles, which are just the cutest pet food names ever devised.

In the “soon to be added” front comes new trophy-sized pumpkins that agriculturally-minded players will be able to grow and then craft into jack o’lanterns. Trophy pumpkins will also be added as drops from the upcoming Halloween seasonal event, but the largest ones can only be grown with the agriculture system.

Also soon to come is a recipe that allows players to put a tier 15 lich fighter in their player-made dungeons. This recipe drops from high-level lich fighters in the Mysterious Swamp and Upper Tears, while the spawned creature itself doesn’t yield XP or loot, instead adding “roaming monster immersion.” This will mark the first of several planned monster spawners coming to the game.

Finally, those who want player towns even bigger than a megalopolis will soon get their wish with the addition of gigalopolis and teralopolis town sizes, each with more spaces for NPCs, NPC buildings, lights, and decorations. These new tiers are due to arrive at some point before Release 82 and can be achieved either through town upgrading or for direct store purchase.
