After enduring a grueling two-plus days of unexpected downtime, Lord of the Rings Online and Dungeons and Dragons Online players are curious what the studio plans to do in response. The good news is that it looks as if both ongoing events are being extended and compensation is being planned.

LOTRO players should see the April Fools’ day event extended until early Wednesday morning and the Spring Festival extended another week until April 9th. DDO’s VIP daily gold rolls also will continue longer than previously planned, now going through the 26th.

Standing Stone Games told players that they should be on the “lookout” for compensation and indicated that subscribers will get a couple additional days added to their accounts for the downtime.
