Since the month of April has been alpha testing month for sandbox MMORPG BitCraft, Clockwork Labs appears to be eager to continue showing off actual gameplay footage from within the build as opposed to earlier videos that were mostly featuring two dudes talking. So it continues with the game’s latest peek, which highlights the early game’s skills and progression.

Every newly arrived character to BitCraft will start off in a grasslands area, which grants access to the important materials of flint and sticks that allow the building of a crude workbench. These opening beats are pretty standard for crafting in most games, but it does offer a first peek at the blueprint that gets placed in the world that other players can pour resources into for larger structures later.

As for progression, most of that is tied to improving tools, building buildings, and leveling up related gathering skills to move up through the tiers. The video does explain that doing this solo will require a lot of leveling of skills due to the amount of interdependency, but promises that players will be able to help one another from the very early going.
