Hearthstone rolls out its Perils in Paradise pre-patch

Let’s all collectively take a moment to absorb the fact that Hearthstone just reached Patch 30.0 in its lifecycle, a little over 10 years since its release in March 2014. What a long, strange road that’s been, eh?

In any case, this update is the “pre-patch” for next week’s Perils in Paradise expansion, which will introduce 145 new cards, the Tourist keyword, a fresh reward track, and “tasty drinks.”

As for this week, Patch 30.0 not only lays the foundation for Perils in Paradise but makes updates to Battlegrounds and Arenas, unbanned Splish-Splash Whelp in Standard, and welcomed the Demolition Renovator as a returning card to the free Core Set. Blizzard also released its “Hearthstone: Music from the Tavern — Volume 1” album with 50 tracks to various online platforms.
