Nexon is full-steam ahead on development for looter-shooter The First Descendant, as this week it’s released its promised first post-launch patch, complete with a new trailer. At the heart of the update are two new playable Descendants: Luna and the upgraded Ultimate Valby.

“After a long wandering performance, Luna returns to Albion,” Nexon says. “Using her synthesizer gun, she becomes more powerful when fired in rhythm, enhancing her allies’ abilities. Depending on the type of music she dances to, Luna can increase her allies’ skill power, recover their MP, and decrease their resource consumption.” Ultimate Valby, on the other hand, sees an upgrade with two new modification module, the Spiral Tidal Wave and Hydro Pressure Bomb.

The patch also includes a new weapon, a new module, and the new Gluttony void intercept boss battle: “The Devourer-type Colossus is equipped with systems to mine Void Energy and cool generated heat. To counter it, players will need to withstand its cooling and exploit its greedy temperament. Descendants that Intercept Gluttony will collect blueprints for new ultimate weapons and external components.” The patch is already live; the trailer is tucked down below.
