Prepare to feel the weight of time in your bones: Star Wars Galaxies rogue server SWG Legends is officially celebrating its “SOEclipse” tomorrow. That’s the day when SWG Legends will have been running longer than the SOE original MMORPG, which closed down way back at the end of 2011.
“SWG Legends is proud to announce that on August 17th, 2024 the Omega server will have been up and running longer than the SOE Live servers! To celebrate, we have a full weekend of fun and excitement planned! We prepare for the big day in a classic Star Wars way – we’re blowing something up! Gear up and head to Rori on August 16th and get ready for the Battle of Restuss. It’s only the start as the weekend kicks into overdrive with many more giveaways, announcements, events and more! The Restuss PvP event is already underway as of server-up this morning, and if you’ve never played before or never got far, it’s a great time to go in as the player devs are also running a “double everything” weekend boosting everything from experience and quest grinds to harvester rates. At the very least, you should log in and get your free speederbike; every toon more than 10 days old can pick it up as a publish gift.
And if you’re around in-game tomorrow, swing by the Legends Club in Cloud City on Bespin at 2 p.m. EDT for a party, a badge, and level 90 character booster.
