How badly do you want your Rogue in Diablo IV to look like Sylvanas Windrunner? Would you be willing to pay around $28 for the privilege? Because that’s the price point for a newly released series of class transmogs for the OARPG, which let players transform their chosen class into various major players in World of Warcraft’s canon, assuming they believe the cost is worth it.
As first noticed by Blizzard Watch, each of these packs bundle together various cosmetics that dress up the Barbarian, Druid, Necromancer, Rogue, and Sorcerer to look like Varian Wrynn, Xavius, Xal’atath, Sylvanas, and Kael’thas respectively, along with a signature level 68 weapon for each class based on famous weapons from WoW. Each set will cost 2,800 Platinum, or roughly $28 apiece; there is no combined bundle that packs them all in, so if you want them all, you’re going to have to pay a la carte.
The crossover doesn’t stop with classes, as there’s also the famous Celestial Steed in the cash shop as well, which will cost 2,500 Platinum or about $25 for the sparkle pony.
This obviously isn’t the first time that cash shop items in the ARPG have caused some eyes to water, as the game famously wanted to sell individual portal effects for $30 a pop and offered a now-discontinued mount bundle that was pricier than the game itself, and with The War Within approaching in WoW, it’s clear that Blizzard is hoping to cash in on that hype. So we ask again: How badly do you want your Rogue to look like Sylvanas Windrunner?
