GeForce NOW introduces the ability to access and use a small library of World of Warcraft mods

While it’s pretty easy to assume that the subset of players utilizing GeForce NOW’s game streaming service to play World of Warcraft might be pretty small – Blizzard brought the game to the platform only this past June – those players are now getting access to a function that was previously available only to those who played on their own local device: the ability to mod the game.

World of Warcraft will be getting upgrades! […] GeForce NOW has teamed up with CurseForge, one of the top platforms for mods and in-game customization, to bring the best and most up-to-date mods to the service.”

This partnership lets GeForce NOW users access a library of 25 of the MMORPG’s most popular addons, which will be pre-installed before the game launches and will persist between different play sessions. This functionality arrives just as The War Within early access becomes available on Thursday, August 22nd, so if you happen to fall within that presumably small bucket, welcome to the world of mods.
