You would think that taking down a giant spider boss in Old School RuneScape would be enough of an achievement, but Jagex has decided to add some more literal achievements to the Araxxor fight in this week’s patch because we all know there are hungry cheevo hunters who can’t rest until every bar and line is filled.
Players can now chase after 12 achievements that recognize feats like multiple high-speed kills, number of victories against Araxxor, and winning the fight without immunity to venom or poison. This stacks on top of other adjustments made to the fight including self-damage tweaks and ability changes, so if you’re eager to whale on a big giant spider, there’s presumably even more reason to do so now.
The other major feature for this patch is focused on earning crystal shards, with some fairly dramatic increases to the number of various types of shards earned from a wide swath of items, professions, and activities. Finally, there are more Poll 82 updates that adjust the zerker bracket of Last Man Standing and let certain items be used in things like soul wars and clan wars.
