At long last, players of Black Desert on console are getting more than a pet event and a video that vaguely promises improvements. The sandbox MMORPG has introduced a new content patch that brings the Dosa class and opens the doors to another seasonal server.
The Dosa class (readers will recall) is a mist-manipulating master of arcane power and swordfighting who summons warriors made of fog and imbues his weapon with energy in order to cleave his way through enemies. As is often the case with BDO, the new class is being celebrated with in-game events that reward players with goodies for hitting level milestones and hand over a powerful weapon for the class when objectives are completed.
The other major piece of the update is the addition of a Season++ server that’s open from now until November 14th. This new server has some serious boosts to character growth, including 1,000% combat XP earnings, the opportunity to get a mount and five courser skills for it, a reward box stuffed with high-end gear when characters hit level 60, and simplifications for main questing and gear progression, among other bonuses.
The patch has otherwise made a couple of adjustments to the Maegu and Striker classes, changed how to get various titles, made some UI and sound updates, and applied a small list of fixes. Beyond that, it’s time to wield magical smoke as a weapon.
