New World’s latest Aeternum trailer splices cutscenes into gameplay to sell the experience

Does anyone remember back in 2021 when Amazon’s media saturation for the launch of New World was insane? I sure do! I can’t say that Aeternum is quite rising to the same levels of marketing, but dang we’re getting close, as last night the studio launched yet another trailer for the expansion-slash-do-over.

This one is being touted as a “gameplay launch trailer” that’s a “mix of in-game cutscenes and gameplay footage” highlighting the “definitive New World experience.” As usual, we get some fly-throughs of the gorgeous world, some ominous pmroclamations, and a bunch of scenes of groups of players taking on baddies and puzzles, all interspersed with lore that’s just vague enough it won’t spoil you if you haven’t yet played it.

Aeternum launches October 15th, bringing console players into the PC fold.
