The latest season for Sea of Thieves has been a well-documented tire fire, with the game’s sneaky feature set having to be reeled back and sequentially returned over bugs and exploits that were pushed through. Now it looks as if all of the mischief that was promised when Season 14 was first announced is back, as the latest patch has brought back several removed functions.
The patch returns the ability to put on a disguise while crouching, the ability to hang off of ledges on ships and certain islands, and the use of new traps that can be enhanced with extra items that go off when the trap is tripped, along with the unblocking of related commendations and trophies for players to chase.
The return of tricks and traps is the headliner for the patch, but there’s also a new login reward of gold and doubloons for players who log in during the first week of the patch, the newly added lucrative Voyage of Luck that players can grab once a month, and some balance tweaks including a slight buff to the blowpipe’s damage at close range and the end of quick-swapping weapons while crouched. All of the details are sitting in the patch notes.
