Don’t look now, but Helldivers 2 has stepped in it with its playerbase again: A new offering added to the in-game cash shop today blended the co-op shooter with the FPS Killzone, but fans of the game are raising complaints about the prices for what’s being offered.
The items themselves aren’t too dissimilar to other Superstore offerings, with an armor set, cape, and banner, but this time it’s also providing a new primary weapon and a new player title. This rotation of the store’s offerings will also be online for a longer period of time as developer Arrowhead Game Studios tests out ways to improve the cash shop’s offerings. The studio is also promising more free Killzone-related items if the current major order is cleared.
However, the cost of the items in question has summoned the ire of players, as the chest piece alone costs half the price of a full battle pass, while those who want every item on offer will have to spend hundreds more in cash shop currency than a regular warbond’s full suite of offerings, and while super credits can be earned via gameplay, most players call out that getting enough of them is already extremely grindy.
what the fuck are these prices!? pic.twitter.com/Iel8RYDKgE
