Blizzard has set a hard date for Diablo IV’s next season, and it’s the witchy one that the studio has already been testing since December: It’s called Season of Witchcraft, and it begins next week on January 21st.
“Starting on January 21, at 10 a.m. PST, embark on a new Seasonal Questline to unlock powers of Witchcraft, slay the rogue Headrotten, and uncover the secrets behind this haunting mystery,” Blizzard says. “Witchcraft Powers will be your gateway to wonderful new abilities, augmenting and empowering your existing skills. You’ll earn them as you uncover the mystery of the Coven, a group of heady Witches deep from within the bogs of Hawezar who are eager to serve the Tree of Whispers. As you ally with the Tree of Whispers, you’ll progress and enhance these wild powers throughout Season of Witchcraft.”
Witchcraft isn’t the only content Blizzard was testing back in December; it’s also adding the new armory system, which effectively allows players to swap their favorite builds back and forth without fuss. We also spy new runes for Vessel of Hatred players, new uniques, new legendaries, and a new pet too. A huge list of patch notes is ready for your eyeballs, as is a preview video from the team.
