Star Trek Online reactivates its Feast event for consoles, gives a T6 ship to PC players

Years and years.

Getting invited to a feast is almost always welcome — unless you yourself are the main dish and aren’t even getting tipped for delivery service. Star Trek Online has a feast for you to join, but a friendly heads-up that it’s not the delightful kind.

Instead, the console versions of this sci-fi MMO brought about the Feast event with a pair of task force operations and a tasty reward. Players can complete one of these TFOs every day to progress the prize meter until they get their new Universal Kit Module — Macrovirus Array. This will, we quote, “grant you the ability to summon a friendly Macrovirus Unit to spit toxic sludge at your enemies.”

As you absorb the usefulness of that, you can also process the rest of the January 15th console patch notes. Part of these was the notice that the game’s memorial plaque expanded to remember actress Jill Jacobson, who played minor characters in The Next Generation and Deep Space Nine.

Finally, everyone can get in on this freebie: STO is giving away a T6 Long Range Science Vessel to all PC players. Do note that a follow-up tweet says the giveaway is delayed, but it is indeed coming.
