If you think everything about Landmark is fantasy, think again! We’ve seen planes, trains, and even some automobiles in this sandbox. Now MassivelyOP’s MJ wants to show off spaceships. There’s just something special about sci-fi; there’s no greater frontier than space, and spaceships in particular tug at an explorer’s heart. So tune in live at 3:00 p.m. as OPTV‘s infamous Stream Team takes off into…

MagmaFist I haven’t done a streaming tutorial, but Larry did a whole series!  I would not stream with an upload speed of less than 5 MBs.

You need 3-3.5MBs upload for 1080p streaming.

MJ, have you ever written a ‘how-to’ on streaming with Twitch? I’m just wondering what software you use, what is your internet speed, microphone setup,  etc? I’ve been using Open Broadcasting Software and just recording it is much better than Raptr but streaming is another matter. With Raptr, when it works, I notice no hit to performance but I never checked the quality of the stream. With OBS, playback stuttered and it was reporting a ton of dropped frames. I’m afraid a 1Mbps upload speed is inadequate. Does anyone know the minimum you should have for a 1080p stream with little to no hit on performance(both the stream and the game you are playing).
On a side note, ISP offerings for good upload speeds are weak. I would have to buy a 75Mbps or 100Mbps package just to get 3 or 5Mbps upload. At 20Mbps download, I find already adequate to play an MMO and have someone else in the house streaming Netflix in HD. I don’t need(want is a different matter) higher download speeds.
