TUG alpha patch adds traps, slingshot, and storage

It’s safe to say that you’ll be accumulating a lot of materials and gear in the indie sandbox TUG, so storage is of a higher importance than it would be otherwise. It’s a good thing, then, that the team’s added ways to squirrel away your possessions in the new alpha 0.8.3 patch.

The new patch, which came out yesterday, includes chest and backpack storage, cosmetic furniture, a slingshot to whip stones about, and traps to catch wiley animals. Or fellow players. We’re sure that won’t be abused, right?

You can check out the TUG alpha patch overview video after the break!

I like the atmosphere in this game. And the storage is a welcome addition. My house was a mess :)

Serrenity sdyaris  I know they are different.  I’m just contrasting two kickstarter project opportunities that happened at the same time period and how one has succeeded and the other is stagnant.

sdyaris  While I can appreciate the sentiment, they are vastly vastly different games.  I backed it too, bought a couple extra licenses for friends — totally agree, dev has been slow and until this most recent investor, the entirety of the game was a little shakey.  I can’t fault them for it, they’ve been communicative and generally awesome through the process so far.  And the game, while not as flushed out as Minecraft is definitely playable.  I’ve sunk a few hours (like maybe 20) so far.  It’s good, but still growing.

Call me Private Picky of the Picky Patrol, but that missile weapon is called a sling, not a slingshot. Two different things.

They are making good progress. Slow and steady is good, get it right the first time. Looking forward to unlocking the stool and table recipes. And my closing words are kill all those little mushroom people, just kill them!

I backed the project on Kickstarter. It’s been slow but steady. At least it’s not The Stomping Land!

Mark Jacobs Siphaed Game is already a damn fun one even with the few options.

Also this game is giving me a complex and cats purring.

As a kickstarter supporter progress has been slow. Tried to play a couple times and gave up. Wish i would have backed CU instead.
