One Shots: Bugs Bunny 2099

What would Bugs Bunny look like if he were a futuristic space mercenary who chomped on freeze-dried carrots and spat out, “What’s UP, doc?” right before he unloaded his plasma minigun on an enemy soldier? I imagine he’d look something like this.

Our headline picture is from reader Enikuo, who hails from the land of Warframe. “Warframe added bunny ears for Easter, so I took some screenshots,” he said. “Here, my Tenno is selecting a mission from the mission console. It’s not the most user-friendly menu ever, but what it lacks in usability it makes up with coolness.”

I really like the perspective used for this screenshot from Final Fantasy XIV. Reader Jon shows off “a big kill for a little catgirl” that uses both the foreground and background to great effect. What do you think?

Quite a few of you took me up on the screenshot challenge to provide an action shot. Here’s reader Dirty Klingon showing off some fancy archery moves. He had to have been quick on the trigger to get that arrow right as it left the string!

“Here’s my character Molly letting an arrow loose at a ne’er-do-well in ArcheAge,” he writes.

Or what about this dual-pistol action shot from Guild Wars 2? This one comes courtesy of reader Douglas, who says that this pic has an unorthodox backstory: “A friend of mine was doing knock-off romance novel covers, so my contribution was my namesake Sylvari Thief showing off the unload skill while bare-chested on a pirate ship. Of the screens I snapped, this lined up the best.”

For this week’s It Came from the Comments Section! pick, I’m going with an unusual Star Wars: The Old Republic vignette. It’s unusual because I can’t say that I’ve seen many players pick the deluxe chunky male model for their character, especially while playing a spy. It’s a cool setup, however.

“Here’s my Imperial Agent Operative facing off against one of those wretched Jedi,” reader Arcsine explained. “Despite all of the game’s problems, my IA is probably my second-favorite MMO character ever. I know a lot of people were upset that non-Force classes were made to be equal with the Jedi and Sith, but if you think about it, the IA was a top-of-the-line operative, with the best gadgets and training capable of a multi-system Empire. It’s like Jason Bourne and James Bond rolled into one, with the tools and training (not to mention, in my case, cybernetic implants) of a massive, futuristic government. If that’s not a match for a Jedi, I don’t know what is.”

You know what I’d really like to see for this week’s screenshot challenge? Pictures from the original Guild Wars in honor of its 10th anniversary. Send those in to me via email with your favorite Tyrian tales!

Every week, One Shots shines a spotlight on the best community screenshots from your MMO adventures. If you have a great pic to share, email it to justin@massivelyop.com with the subject “One Shots.” Make sure that the picture is over 880px wide and comes with a description or story!
