You might not have realized, but yesterday was Diablo II’s 15th anniversary. Blizzard’s hit action-RPG came out on June 29, 2000 and has been running nonstop since then. Its popularity and lifespan has undoubtedly been helped by its online multiplayer feature offered through Battle.net.

Diablo II is not only one of Blizzard’s best-selling games, but one of its fastest-selling ones as well. The title sold a million copies in its first week, putting it in the Guinness Book of World Records for that year. Ironically, the current title-holder for fastest-selling is Diablo III.

The folks over at Kotaku put together a quick video to salute the title’s birthday, which you can watch after the jump.
