Star Wars: The Old Republic outlines its December events

HAPPY CELEBRATIONS
Ready for a month full of stuff happening in Star Wars: The Old Republic? If your answer is “no,” the good news is that you have a little time to become ready, as the multitude of in-game events for December aren’t getting underway until December 8th. But once they do start up, they aren’t stopping until January.

So what events are taking place? Oh, how about all of them. Relics of the Gree kicks off on December 8th, which is also when players can log in for rewards for the fourth anniversary of the game. The Rakghoul Plague event and Life Day celebrations both start on December 15th, which means that flesh-eating ghouls may be gathering around your Life Day meals. (Let them have their own tables.) Bounty Contract Week kicks off on December 22nd, but double XP is starting up on December 18th and running until January. It’s a month full of stuff to do, with celebrations to be had and enemies to lightsaber right in the face. What more could you want?

Double XP all winter break sounds pretty solid to me.
Time to make a totally useless alt.

The good thing is that I’ve missed so much that I don’t feel obliged to cover it all anymore. I’ll do bits here and there I think, whatever goes on when I’m levelling.

Rakgoul… I remember something about them being loose on Tatooine, is that right? Dune Sea? Don’t think there was a Life Day the first year, was there. Hmm, Gree. Those are on Nar Shadda? Can buy legacy gear for tokens? And that scrapper speeder? I think I have a ton of tokens.

Estranged Only one I stopped doing was the Bounty Hunter week, and sometimes skip the Rakghoul. Those are the ones they run all the time so they got boring.
The Gree event however, I never get tired of it because it’s pretty rare and there’s a dungeon built around it so I always catch that one.

vicariousfan Greaterdivinity There is a lot more to do in WoW though if you are going to compare it and SWTOR. SWTOR has a small narrow focus. There aren’t as many dungeons, raids, battlegrounds, dailies and other activities to do in SWTOR.
If you are a “once” through content locust sort of player than you are correct you’ll burn through the quests and be done with it. Hell that’s the very issue with SWTOR, took me a day to hit the new cap and it felt like a standalone rpg. You’re then back to looking at the same glaring shortcomings that SWTOR has always had. Same issue that The Secret World has as well, very limited endgame activities. Bioware and Funcom just don’t know how to make a fully fleshed out mmorpg.
