This would normally not be my cup of Tea, but I tried it. I don’t even know why but I did.. and I can’t believe it but I am loving it so far. It defies my normal preference as im not usually into Asian style MMOs or anime in general but It has been geeking out so far and thoroughly enjoying myself so im going with it.

As for cues I rolled on one of the new servers ( I would assume) it was the first recommended one and have had no ques what so ever with plenty of people running about crowding the questing landscape. Hopefully it stays that way but im just rolling with it and enjoying it and not worrying about it to much.

F2P and so far not to in your face about it is nice. I will be recommending and hopefully dragging a few friends in with me.

I normally avoid korean games like the plague. I hate the art style and they end up being all grind with no substance. I’m normally a strict western mmo only gamer. When I heard about the combat in BnS my interest was piqued. I always wanted a 1v1 arena in the games I was playing so after hearing that and watching some videos I was sold.

I am having an absolute blast with BnS. The combat is amazing, the character creator is hardcore so I was able to make a character that doesn’t look like Justin Bieber/Kpop lookalike. It’s the most fun I’ve had in an mmo in a while. Just find a server that isn’t too over populated and go nuts because it’s a great game.

Hell no,  I don’t understand these Korean games.  It’s like I start up the game and get some odd cutscene introducing whatever the story is, probably about some evil looking things and people running and staring at evil things as some other random character sacrifices themselves to try and stop the evil things. Then I get to the character creator and make a female character with huge jumblies and run around pushing buttons and trying to figure out what the hell the quests are talking about. But at least I can see huge jumblies… so maybe I’ll play….

I’m glad they successfully deflected Nexon’s hostile takeover bid, but I don’t play NCSoft’s games anymore; they leave any games they run (like Aion and Lineage 2) overrun with gold farmers, hackers and lag, and play nasty cash shop games (making crafting in Aion take twice as long and cost twice as much in-game, then simultaneously releasing outrageously expensive crafting XP pots in their cash shop, stuff like that).

And then of course there’s their horrible track record with closing down games, several of which I played before their demises (Tabula Rasa, City of Heroes and Dungeon Runners).  Don’t even get me started on their Lord British signature forgeries whilst the poor gent was on vacation, wherein they promptly shuttered Tabula Rasa only a year after its launch behind his back.  He won $30+ million in the subsequent lawsuit against them, so clearly they were in the wrong.

One of the main reasons I first tried Tera was that its devs Bluehole Studios are considered arch-enemies of NCSoft.  I found I really loved Tera and have stuck with it since, but that was my initial reason for trying it after the CoH closure.  ;)

It was said that even back when Guild Wars I. launched that ArenaNet had some sort of sly contract where NCSoft couldn’t shutter it on them; even back in spring 2004 when it launched, NCSoft already had a hella reputation for being game killers, so GW fans made sure to share that rumor whenever they could.  And I guess it wasn’t such a rumor after all, seeing as how GW1 was only put on life support in recent times instead of being closed down forever as is NCSoft’s usual habit.

heavyGees it’ll be a nightmare, luckily the game is pretty light in the background as it de-renders people if you alt tab and other stuff to remain light and you can do other shit while sitting in queue. Mushin has gotten a tiny bit better queue time wise with the server schedule for new character creation, but hopefully they can expand the back end fast enough to accommodate everyone.

I think the largest problem is that streamers tend to all flock to a single server and then their fan base goes there too and just a whole big mess and that’s why musin and a few others are packed packed packed.

ihatevnecks They’ve in large part seemingly fixed that or at least I haven’t had that issue. Though i do recommend waiting 2 – 3 full seconds.

ihatevnecks Vunak Syco_at_Twitch Telos_ None of them do. Literally it’s right click and left click for most stuff in Tera even with combos and there is little to any real combo effort on anything other than the brawler.

This is the most fun I’ve had and will likely ever have with “BS” —

How to abuse Blade and Soul’s character creator for evil and amusement

So thanks for that article.
Meanwhile, NCSoft can go suck an egg.

Enjoying it so far, very polished (which you’d expect considering its a older game). The version coming to the west has a bunch of really nice UI enhancements. I’ve been told they have a couple of UI devs working on the western version, its nice to see they aren’t just doing a straight language conversion but actually putting a little extra money onto it.

Yeah I’ll play. I’d rather play Black Desert, but since that’s not here yet, I’ll be happy to give this a try. Their payment model is not interesting to me at all though, so I didn’t buy a founder’s pack… no head start for me.
