If you haven’t picked up on the fact, there’s a lot of us that continue to care deeply about City of Heroes, even years after its shutdown. The game’s 12th anniversary was marked by ex-dev lore chats, an artist AMA, great music, and of course, a huge party.
The party took place in Paragon Chat, the client that uses City of Heroes code to allow players to create characters and hang out together. For a few hours, it was almost like the community had gone back in time as it filled Atlas Plaza, showed off nifty and bizarre designs, and literally held a torch for the late, great MMO.
You can watch a music montage of the anniversary proceedings after the jump thanks to YouTuber Tim the Enchanter. Is that a costume contest? I think it is!
