Project Gorgon has been graced with a huge patch this week, the star of which is probably a massive overhaul of guilds. “Guilds can now undertake quests — communal tasks where everybody in the guild can chip in,” writes ElderGame. “Completing guild quests earns Guild XP which ultimately raises your guild’s level [and] earns each member who logged in during the quest some Guild Credits.”
Players can also expect camera and mouse adjustments, major bug fixes for clairvoyant monsters, the new Ilmari Desert dungeon area, a new player work orders system to help crafters order ingredients, and animal-handling changes, plus Pig Changes, easily my favorite patch note of all.
“Pig is now a support skill that shines in groups. In many ways the pig feels like an ‘animal bard’, filling in whatever is missing from the group (except tank). In small groups the pig can be a healer/damager with emergency crowd control; in larger groups the pig’s unique buffs become quite potent. The pig has only mediocre damage capabilities – enough to solo, but nothing to brag about – but it is pretty sturdy and can be hard to kill, especially given its penchant for deflecting aggro onto the group’s tank.”
Critically, the rewritten Mudbath skill is now “tagged as a major heal.” Also “Sustaining Snack has been replaced with Grunt of Abeyance, a small group heal.” This game, you guys.
