League of Legends has a lot to brag about today as its parent company, Riot Games, turns 10 years old: The studio just announced that the biggest MOBA in the world is currently seeing 103 million monthly players, which won’t come as much of a surprise, since it consistently tops Superdata’s revenue list for its category.

I remember first reading about League of Legends in a paper magazine before its 2009 launch and thinking, “Huh. That’s weird. Like Demigod, only funny. Who’s gonna play that?” I think it’s fair to say the answer was almost everyone.
