Up until now, all of Overwatch’s various shooty maps have taken place without traffic beyond the payload and the armored gaggle of freaks shooting at one another. That makes sense, since most traffic services would probably direct people away from any sort of armored freak shootout (your GPS specifically warns you about superhero conflicts so you’ll take an alternate route). But the game’s newest map has traffic! You can even jump into the road and take a close look at the traffic! A very close look, once one of the cars slams into you and kills you.
Yes, playing in traffic is as bad of an idea in Overwatch as it is in the real world. This might seem pointless, but it does give the level an additional environmental hazard that you can exploit with the right abilities and timing. Or it just lets you watch people get run over by cars on the test realm before everyone learns to stay away from cars. One or the other. Those hoping for a return of the harmless traffic from other superheroic online games will be sadly disappointed.
