Star Wars: The Old Republic isn’t the only sci-fi MMO that is paying tribute to the late Carrie Fisher this month. Following community entreaties to memorialize the Star Wars actress, Frontier said that it will be dedicating a space station in Elite Dangerous in Fisher’s memory.
“Sad news indeed,” Frontier said on the game’s official forums. “AÂ ‘Fisher’s Rest’ outpost will be added to the game in the 2.3 release.”
Elite Dangerous has a long record of naming planets and stations after those who passed, including a planet named after a soldier’s late mother, a station named for Leonard Nimoy, and another one in memory of Terry Pratchett.
