Warframe players help raise $50,000 for youth charity

How about a feel-good story? Back in December, Digital Extremes kicked off a Warframe charity event called the Tennobaum Gifting Extravaganza (bonus points for that terrible pun). All players had to do was send a whole bunch of gifts to each other in-game, and the studio promised to reward them with skins and pass along a fat sack of cash to a real-world youth charity. In fact, your efforts effectively raised $50,000.

“Over the holidays, you brought incredible joy to fellow Tenno, collectively sending more than 300,000 Gifts through the Solar System. You’ve rightfully earned the coveted final tier Reward — the all new Solstice Vanquished Banner, Scindo Solstice Skin and Burston Solstice Skin! Log in before January 31 at 2 p.m. ET to claim them. This means you also hit the highest donation tier! We will be donating $50,000 USD to the tiny Tenno at the Boys and Girls Club of London on your behalf to help improve their computer program.”

Well done, ladies and gents. Good guys win for once.
