WRUP: Things to cry about edition

Nyan~

Do you ever want to cry but find yourself unsure about a reason? Like you just have a whole lot of sadness, but you don’t have a reason to cry so you feel like it would be selfish to do so? Well, today we’re going to give you reasons to cry, starting with the fact that you are so entitled that you think you need a reason to cry when you can’t come up with one.

Seriously, how self-indulgent is that? Your life is so great that you have no reason to cry, but you want to just “get it out” or whatever? You’re being absurdly selfish and probably lying to yourself. If you can’t think of a thing to cry about off of the top of your head, you are probably either not actually in need of a good cry and almost certainly treating the pain of other people like some kind of theme park.

Also, we’re going to all have to see Carrie Fisher in The Last Jedi, and that’s going to just be sad on every level. In addition to leaving your weekend plans in the comments of this week’s What Are You Playing, feel free to also leave your own favorite reasons to cry.

Andrew Ross (@dengarsw): It’s probably for the best there’s an Easter event in Pokémon Go I’ll try to hit hardcore to burn off chocolate egg and peep calories. The “genki” (energetic) Japanese grandma that also plays in my town has been super hardcore since the event started, so at least I have a benchmark to try to meet. I want to say Overwatch will happen since I love that Blizz has put more of their lore in the game (and I generally am not big on Blizz lore), but the new skins aren’t doing much for me beyond Genji, who I already have a sweet skin for.

Brianna Royce (@nbrianna, blog): I won’t get much time in at all this weekend, but I’m still doing Guild Wars 2 Super Adventure Box, and yesterday I was watching my kid playing Trove and got such an urge to jump in, so most likely I’ll do that next week when my guests are gone.

Eliot Lefebvre (@Eliot_Lefebvre, blog): Still prepping myself for Stormblood in Final Fantasy XIV, still working slowly through my second playthrough in Mass Effect: Andromeda, and still playing Black Desert for Choose My Adventure. I’ve got the vague hankering for something else, but until I can actually identify what it is beyond “something,” I’ll stick with those three.

Justin Olivetti (@Sypster, blog): I’ve recently gotten back into Guild Wars 2 for some casual MMO playing, which is fitting my mood perfectly. So I’ll most likely be leveling up a new Thief and kicking myself for not buying Heart of Thorns when it was on sale.

MJ Guthrie (@MJ_Guthrie, blog): I’m looking over my gaming list and feeling a bit paralyzed. So many things to do, I don’t know how to pick! I think I will spend some time in EverQuest II. There is also a dungeon boss in Conan Exiles that need a whoopin’. I’m also keen on spending a bit more time in the skies of DC Universe Online. Any extra time will be spent with my dinos in ARK: Survival Evolved.

Your turn!
