Grind. The grind never ends. Just when you think you’ve capped your honor levels in World of Warcraft’s PvP, you discover that there is still quite a far way to go — but you may want to make that journey for the rewards.

So for every 50 honor levels after the initial 50, players will earn a prestige level. There are currently 14 of these levels, although that number will increase to 18 once season four begins. Why would you want to grind out prestige levels? Because you can earn pets, artifacts appearances, titles, mounts, and toys.

These rewards include an honorable pennant you can carry around, a dutiful squire battle pet, an Unrelenting title, and a Prestigious Forest Courser. These aren’t just enjoyable on their own but are also certainly meant to be status symbols of the most dedicated PvP warriors.

In other Blizzard news, NYT best-selling author Christie Golden has joined the studio but demurred to say what her job was. Golden is the writer of several Warcraft novels, including Thrall: Twilight of the Aspects. Could we have a new WoW lore writer?
