Dungeons and Dragons Online tells tales of the White Plume Mountain

Whether you’re chaotic evil or lawful good, there is always more adventure ahead of you in Dungeons and Dragons Online! Game Update 39 has gone live for the long-running MMO, adding an adventure pack that takes players through a variety of dungeons around the White Plume Mountain.

The adventure pack “includes five new dungeons, including the classic module White Plume Mountain, plus four additional all-new tales of mad Wizards and their works. The five quests are not part of a narrative arc, but instead tie thematically around Wizards run amok.”

The patch includes the new Falconry universal enhancement tree and preps for an updated Treasure of Crystal Cove event. There are also many class changes (when are there not?), so make sure to read the full patch notes so as not to be surprised.

I often wondered why they never offered a bundled subscription with Lotro . I bet it would entice more people to both games .

I’ve never been interested in DDO because its not the world I grew up with and loved. But this may change things. How much more of the World of Greyhawk is portrayed in the game?

There are also DDO versions of ‘The Temple of Elemental Evil’ and the ‘Against the Slave Lords’ series. Check them out on the DDO Wiki: http://ddowiki.com/page/Greyhawk

The other four quests that are not the classic White Plume Mountain dungeon take place in Eberron, in the Tower of the Twelve public area that is known for its enclave of magic-users and Farshifters.
